Graduates of the Nutrition and Diet for Athletic Performance and Health program will be able to implement strategies that enhance the physical, mental, and social well-being of athletes through healthy, varied, affordable, and comprehensive nutrition.

Program Objectives

Contribute to the improvement and updating of knowledge related to nutrition and sports performance, as well as advancements in the treatment of non-communicable chronic diseases through exercise and nutrient distribution. 

  • Relate physiological adaptations and energy metabolism during physical activity as a foundation for developing nutritional interventions.

  • Assess the nutritional status of athletes and individuals engaging in physical exercise, grounding the analysis of various body compartments in a critical review of diverse bibliographic sources.

  • Design nutritional intervention plans for individuals participating in physical activity, applying dietary principles and nutritional supplementation to support the achievement of their goals while respecting ethical standards in working with people.
