Language and Literature Didactics

The Language and Literature Didactics Program offered by the Division of Continuing Education at Blackwell Global University, in partnership with the Universidad Autónoma de Chile, provides high school teachers with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to design, develop, implement, and evaluate teaching and learning processes aimed at enhancing students' reading, writing, speaking, and literary competencies.

Graduate profile

The graduate of the Language and Literatura Didactics Program is equipped to critically analyze educational policies and pedagogical proposals, as well as to develop projects and teaching materials aimed at improving methodological strategies and teaching practices.

Program Objectives

The main goal of the program is to integrate advancements in knowledge production, conceptualizations regarding the teaching and learning of Language and Literature, and the critical review of educational practices, guided by expert contributions in a framework of shared reflections. 

  • Identify what constitutes linguistic competence (reading, writing, and speaking) and literary competence.

  • Implement various teaching strategies to promote the acquisition of linguistic and literary competence in students.

  • Recognize the disciplinary knowledge required for the acquisition of linguistic and literary competence.
