What our Mission means in Practice
We strive to prepare our students for work and life by teaching them not only the knowledge necessary to function in their chosen fields, but also the skills needed to formulate solutions to the crucial, complex, and sometimes disorderly situations that the real world will throw at them: Skills on how to gather and organize information, how to make rational decisions under conditions of uncertainty, how to improve productive processes, how to innovate when old solutions won’t do, how to negotiate effectively, and, in general, how to lead others to achieve common goals. In short, we teach the knowledge and skills that our students need not only to “be employed”, but to thrive in the modern workplace and in the modern, globally connected world.
