This program builds an understanding of the health care industry and develops specific, focused administrative skills that will help graduates guide health care organizations toward greater efficiency, effectiveness, and patient-centered care. The 36-credit program presents courses that include critical knowledge, competencies, and skills necessary to lead and work effectively in the core business sectors within the healthcare industry. Students will acquire current skills in key healthcare management domains, including finance, leadership, human capital management, technology, quality improvement, and strategy, that are critical variables in establishing, managing, and leading a successful healthcare organization. Students will develop and demonstrate critical reasoning, data-driven decision-making, and process improvement, enabling them to contribute to the growth, quality, and evolution of the rapidly growing healthcare industry.

• Communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external customers, to establish and maintain relationships, and to facilitate constructive interactions with individuals and groups.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills that are required in managing effective teams and in predicting human behavior in healthcare organizations.
• Align personal and organizational conduct with ethical and professional standards that include a responsibility to the patient and community, a service orientation, and a commitment to lifelong learning and improvement.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the healthcare system and the environment in which healthcare managers and providers function.
• Develop creative and effective solutions to various Human Resources challenges faced as healthcare administrators.
• Demonstrate quantitative skills necessary for strategic, tactical, and operational planning of decisions in healthcare management.
• Apply business strategies to the healthcare environment, including financial management, human resource management, organizational dynamics and governance, strategic planning and marketing, information management, risk management, and quality improvement.

Course Descriptions

All applicants must meet the following admission requirements:

1. Submit an official transcript or original foreign evaluation showing successful completion of a US equivalent bachelor’s degree with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0 from an accredited college or university or equivalent recognition.

2. Any document not in English must be accompanied by a certified translated copy.

3. Submission of a valid government-issued photo identification.

• Graduation Fee: $400
Tuition cost of the Master of Science in Healthcare Management program is $9,360.00.
This amount does not include the cost of books, learning materials, or other applicable fees.
